okay i have a 89 firebird formula. it runs fine but every once in awhile the engine would just turn off but never when i was actually driving. now its doing it when im driving. it just shuts down and...

where is the oxygen sensor?

i know hundreds have probably asked the same thing but do any of you guys know where the oxygen sensor would be on a 1989 firebird v8 ?? everytime i turn the car on lots of bluish grayish smog comes...

i opened up the steering column and this little white wire was broken... it had been taped up... its connected to where the key goes in the ignition cylinder?? so i am gonna try to weld them together...

okay so i got a 89 firbired formula... car was working fine..sometimes it would take 1-2 times to start but it worked... changed brake fluid... went for a ride came back, turned it off and now wont...

thanks so much for the advice... i reconnected the sensor and its now working perfectly. no overheating at all. :):):):nod:

Fuel Gauge shows Full!!

i have a 1989 firebird formula. i recently changed the fuel pump.... the fuel gauge showed empty so when i went to go fill it up it went to full but its been a week and it hasnt gone down. anybody...

i have the same problem except with my 89 firebird. i checked the #7 sensor and it was disconnected. . . now im waiting for the car to cool down to connect it back to see if it will now work...
