ok so now that the new camaro concept is out, if the car comes into production, Im hoping the Firebird will be following close behind on the same platform as usual. So since Im a firebird fan, I decided to make my own Firebird. My inspiration so far, comes mostly from the early second generation trans ams...but I wanna work on incorporating the other style into it also. I will also make a side and rear view. THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS and i still got lots to add, change, fix, etc. I will also be doing a rear and side view and maybe a dead front view.
This is my inspiration thus far:
Heres the original (camaro concept)
My work in progress

guys...I need your help...I came up with another quick front end design...which incorporates the late 4th gen style foglight sockets (still gotta add lights). so which do you think looks better? the 1st or 2nd front end design?
I'm absolutely loving what you did with the roofline and how you made it a hatchback. Looks much much better and gives it a little 3rd/4th gen touch. Very, very nice job Flyinlow.
Since you're asking what people like, I'd prefer the Ws-6 foglamp grille, hatchback, and the modern wheels over the large cragers. Wouldn't mind seeing it in the Pontiac equivelent of "Hugger Orange" with white stripe.
Great job!
Love that second gen paint and body style concept you did!
Great job using the Lucerne Blue/white stripe combo!
I'm biased that way too! It would match my 1970 Lucerne Blue Trans Am!
Now, just add some "Ram Aiv IV" decals on the scoop! Please?
George

VERY nice, i really think the hatchback is vital to the firebird. it didnt have one for the 1st and 2nd gens, but if you look, the rear lines on those cars imitated what a hatchback does to a modern car.
the nose on yours doesnt quite fit, it needs maybe a little more solidarity to it, or at least different shapes on the bottom part. great work though!
heres another view of it....still working on the rear 3/4 view.
red and orange both WITHOUT T-tops

THIS SUCKS!!!!
Now I've fallen in love with a car which doesn't even exist! Very nice job! Looks much better than the new Camaro! I prefer the ones you did with the dual headlights
Now tell me it has a updated 455/490 hp with a 5spd (6 seems like rowing and 4 is missing one.) and show me where to plunk down my $45K ( what? you think these are gonna be free or cheap?)
