Need to store my ride ASAP
I know my car isn't really fixed up like others on this site yet but a friend of mine in my apartment complex called me a lil while ago telling me that for the second time he saw someone walking around my car and looking inside and what not.If anyone knows a place i could store my car or has extra room where they store theirs i could pay every month or week however.I just don't wanna lose my ride.Even though my ride isn't much, it still took alot of my time and money to get it where it is now.Plz lemme know if you know of any garages or places that store cars.I'm looking for some close to or on the eastside of town(Houston) but if there aren't any, i'll take what i can get.Thanx guys
Ok here are some pics just in case something does happen to it.

your car doesn't look bad.
from the pics, all it needs is some paint work.
a thief looks at it & says, humm, nice wheels, straight sheet metal, cool looking hood, good interior,.. i want it!
im on the east side, but it probably wouldn't last very long where i live, part of the reason my car looks like such a POS.
i don't know if you thought about it or how much they cost, but maybe rent a mini storage place thats big enough to fit your car into.
some suggestions, if you don't have one, get a good alarm system.
as much as i hate them, wheel locks if you don't have them.
for the money as far as it getting stolen, i highly recommend a Steadfast Steering column collar. they are completely passive, always on the job & in plain view. thiefs know what they are & tend to stay away from them.

the down side to them, if you ever have to replace the lock cylinder or fix the column, you may tear the steadfast up taking it off, you will also cuss a lot.

My personal preference is an alarm with a pager. No one else will pay any attention when your alarm goes off...but you will!

Give "Best Storage" a call, however it's on the NW side close to Katy I-10 & Fry Rd. Reasonable price storage.

How much time do you have on your apartment? Do you live solo? How much do you pay? I had the same problem, but now i'm actually going to rent a house for less than what I was paying for my apartment. I have to share with other people sure but, atleast my car is the only one that can fit in the 2 car garage. It may be cheaper for you to just rent a house with a couple buddies, that and safer for your ride.

Re: Need to store my ride ASAP
Install a starter kill switch on it in the meantime. Put the switch inside the car in a hidden spot. It is a cheap but effective device to prevent your car from being stolen. Also install a alarm. Not the best as people do ignore them but it does make the bad guys run when they hear it. Also get to know your neighbors. Have them watch out for you and you for them. Something you can do in the meantime till you find a place to store your car. Badman
