Pain in the rump?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to back-half my '82 or leave it be and just get a heavy duty torque arm and some darn good subframe connectors.

Any opinions? Advice? Experiences?

Re: Pain in the rump?

I know of a few f-bodys in the low 10's on a stock type suspension here in san antonio. I would suggest that if you can get a torque arm that mounts to a crossmember or tunnel mount. I used the mac tunnel mount for a 93-97 and cut it to clear the seat belt mounts, I also installed the edelbrock lca relocation brackets, the lca's and panhard bar are lakewood.

Re: Pain in the rump?

Work with stock setups if it is a street monster, if it is track attack u looking for go ahead and backhalf it, but it will not be as cheap of course. Rollcage, LCAs, SFCs, panhard, torque arm with a mointing kit and call it good, they do sell a trans crossmember for the torque arm to mount up to. GOOD LUCK!
