Hey, anyone here going to the fall rod run in Pigeon Forge, TN? I have tried to hook up with people for the last couple of shows, but it hasn't worked out yet. This time , anyone going who wants to meet other 3rd genners needs to agree on a place to MEET, so that everyone knows where, and a time. I am really looking forward to meeting some other owners!

It starts on the 13th and goes thru the 15th. I will be getting down there on Friday evening, and leaving on Sunday. Hopefully, I will be staying in the Eagles Ridge Cabins... hopefully. It would be really great to finally meet some of the folks I have been talking to for the last 6 months. I thought a couple of us were going to meet at the Camaro show a couple months back, but it didn't work out. Anyway, can't wait to meet some people this time!

I will be there. I am staying in the Valley Forge Inn next to the Comedy Barn. I am probably taking the TTA and the Bandit II. If you see them stop by I'll probably be sitting around there some where.

The eagle ridge cabins are nice. You should have a good time. Make sure you get one with a hot tub and pool table.

I am assuming that the actual show will be at the Grand hotel, but the whole friggin' town is the show more or less. It's damn near impossible to get a parking space on the strip, but I love it anyway. Got up at 8 this morning to put a fresh coat of wax on the roc (even though the paint all to hades!). Gotta get new header gaskets b/f then, so it don't sound like crap. I have stayed in Eagles Ridge b/f, and loved it. We had a brand new cabin. We were the second group to stay in it! It was awsome!

So does anyone have ideas on where to meet, and preferrably on Sat. ? I know that town like the back of my hand, so anywhere is fine. Also, if anyone has cell phones, PM me with your #'s before the 10th, and I will send mine back. That way we can reach each other while we are down there.

I doubt there will be any extra parking around the V.F. Inn, cause its always crowded around there. In any case, I will look you up and on Sat, we can maybe hook up and meet everyone else. It would be nice to see the TTA out prowling the strip, rolling out of a big nasty Smoky ! If you want, I can pm you my cell # and we can get hold of one another that way.

will ya be going to the 36th B-day bash in bowling green on the 19-21 ? ill be there fer sure.
ill also be making the atlanta event next year, couldnt make this years event . cash issues and members of my assn here didnt go.

Richard H.- they have a spring show and a fall show. The fall show is the big one, however. I believe it is because the weekend before the Rod Run, they have the Shades of the Past pre-1949 show (next weekend!), so people just stay all week for both shows. It is a little cooler in the fall, too, so you actually get to see some cars that you wouldn't in the spring. I know the last couple of times I have been, there haven't been many third gens around, but the ones that were there were incredible!

All I know is I go every year to both the spring and the fall. usually the fall is the biggest. But this past spring show was crazy, that was the most people and cars I've ever seen there on Saturday night. I told my friends if the fall show beats that then it'll be crazy!!!

I know! Iwas at the spring show. There were cars and bodies everywhere! I stayed in the very last hotel on the right as you are going towards Gatlinburg. My g/f and me sat out on the balcony till 3 am, and traffic coming from Gatlinburg was still at a standstill. The next day, someone said that the police were randomly searching cars about a mile back into the woods on the side coming back to pigeon forge. I actually met a guy and his g/f that were from Newport News Va and he had drove his thirdgen from there to PF because his g/f had never been and he used to live near.

What were you driving? I had a friend that stayed in that hotel. He had the #3 Earnhardt Wrangler replica car.

Yeah, I remember that guy. He busted a brake line, I think. Couldn't drive it friday. That thing sounded like a beast when he started it on Sat after he fixed it! I was in my Blue IROC, with the torq thrust wheels. I am not sure if he ever saw my car, though...

i8atang the last time i was in PF was for the minitruckin nats . i plan to hit that event again . from what i last recall ther are 3 grand run events there, a trucking run, rod run , and a muscle car run.
maybe next year when my vaca time comes up ill attend the muscle run and ill attend te minitrucking event if my vintage mini is in shape.

i8stang mine had chrome factory wheels on it. If you saw a black one it was probably it because I didn't see any other black Cobras there.

Hey guys, its almost here. My plans are still undecided as of this moment. I WILL be there on Sat. regardless of if I stay Fri. night or not. If I don't get to come Fri., I will drive down Sat. morning and stay all day. The people that are supposed to come w/ me have not given the definate yea or nay. Does anyone have ANY suggestiuons of where you would like to meet up on Sat., and a time would be nice, too! Hope to see you all,

Does anyone know where the parking lot for the Pigeon Forge city park is? It is on the side street that runs parrallel to the strip on the left hand side (if you are going towards G-burg), and it was empty last year, with the exception of a nice thirdgen z painted orange, and a fox body mustang. I don't know, maybe everyone else would rather be on the strip. It doesn't matter to me. Just making a suggestion.
