South Carolina Third Genners
I dont know about you guys, but it amazes me that there appear to be very few of us. It also amazes me that there is not a SC thirdgen club yet.
So if your from SC, post up fellas.. maybe we can get a cruise in together or soemthing?

I'm in Greenville, SC, and I'd be more than willing to attend a cruise-in. I know of about 3 or 4 3rd gen guys in G'ville that would probably be up for a cruise-in, too (Xceleratemaro for one, he's a member of the boards, I'm sure he'll post soon enough).

yea, I know of SCFYB, and unfortunately, meaning no disrespect, but it seems that they cater to the 4th gens and Vettes more....
And I know that the lowcountry and upstate tend to be more active in the SCFYB... columbia tends to be dead, and when someone trys to organize something very few turn out.. so it really sucks.
I mean geeze, I know of 4 guys here locally that have 3rd gens, maybe even more, that would love to hang out and do the third gen thing, but no one does.
I am actually surprised that there are this many of us thirdgens here.. ive met some of yall and what not and I think it'd be real cool if we had a cruise in or something.
I dont know.. Im in the Lexington Area, and while im always working on my 3rd gen, its not always driveable great distances you know? so it'd have to pretty much be a local thing for me.

Once I get mine running I would love to do a drive in.
I live between Greenville and Spartanburg in Moore.
If I could just get the stupid thing running...I have been working on it for 18 months

it seems that we have many of us out here.. has anyone ever tried to get a SC thirdgen site? i know alot of the other states have their own thirdgens sites.. that would be pretty cool i think.
sorry to hear that she doesnt run.. what have you checked / not checked to get her running?

why don't you just try to bring more to the SCFYB third gen section??
It is a good site/club and a lot of those guys and gals have 3rd gens also or have had them....
BTW any of you do your own chip tuning?

well ive thought about that, but the SCFYB seems a bit cliqueish, especially when your in the columbia section..
either your in or you dont exist / Qualify.

It is a good time.

The boards changed not too long ago so you may need to go back to gmmoc.org and re-sign up, we switched servers and not all of the database moved over ok! How's things going with you? Talk to ya later!

cool.. ill try to do that today man.
Things with me are fine.. if you neglect that ol 91 too much i may have to come see if youll give her to me.
Ive been working on the ol purple one lately.. Put a 00 ss rear in her, 410 Motive gears, Auburn Posi, Spohn Panhard Rod, Spohn Lower Controll Arms, Spohn, Energy Suspension Bushings, Energy Suspension Sway Bar End Links, Spohn Tie Rod End Links, TRW DragLink, TRW Tie Rod Ends (heavy Duty of course), TRW Idler Arm, KYB Gas Adjust Rear Shocks, and KYB GR2 front Struts. Also went ahead and bought 2" adapters for the Front wheels from Skulte, and put my 01 Z28's rims and tires on her.. Believe it or not she doesnt look bad with the stockers on it. Then I put my 18" eagles on my Z28.. so its kinda been playing swapperoo with the shoes. Mostly, ive been concentrating on the suspension of the car... and brakes.
Things yet to get :
Spohn Torsion Bar - Waiting for the T56 Swap from my T5 before I Buy that though.
Spohn SFC's Weld in of course.
Spohn Tubular A Arms.
and an Aluminum Driveshaft.. used or new dont matter.
As far as everythign else is concerned, all is good I cant complain about married life one bit. havent done too much to the Z28 yet either, but its in the works.. dedicating to trying to get the purple car finished up ya know?

My car is pretty much stock right now. Nothing special, just a good, solid daily driver. Currently trying to save up for a real project car.

-Edelbrock Performer TBI intake man.
-Flowmaster muffler
-Alston SFCs
-TDS Wonderbar
-3.42 gears

Hey guys, I am interested in driving over from Augusta if everyone would like to get together one weekend and BS. I think my 86 will make it there - LOL. I would love to see some of these cars in person. Anyone know of a good meeting place near Columbia, SC or in Columbia? Lets keep this enthusiasm going and put something together with it.

I live in spartanburg or Boiling Springs South Carolina to be exact. I think it would be cool to have a cruse in somewhere. My Iroc is all stock but im only 17 and working to get money to work on her. Have Big plans for her. Im looking to have mine Painted and need some one good in Spartanburg or G'ville or in between to paint it for me and not cost me a trip to hell and back. So does anyone know anybody and can get me an estimate. I want it painted black with to gold ss racing stripes in the middle. Want mine to be diff. Thanks Guys

Oh yea. Ive been kindly informed by the wife that If I sell it she's going to leave me.
I dont know if she was kidding, but somehow i dont think she was. hmm.. oh well. So be It.
Yea, I have 3 camaros now.

I'd love to , but ive got some work to do at the house. however, Im going to be having my time in Ft. Mill/ Rock Hill more often now. My mother in law just moved into A housing development off of exit 90 in Ft. Mill. So basically she lives less than 5 miles from carowinds.

Im a new SC guy, I bought a wrecked 92 RS about a month ago. I have ordered the fenders and hood so far.
I live in Landrum for those of you who know where it is and I work in Spartanburg.
I could use someones help when it comes to rebuilding or replacing my 305 TBI.

Of course...as long as I can find some time to do it between getting my boat running, lifting my truck, working on my own camaro, work, stuff at school, and finishing building my bar.

I've done a lot of work to my 305 TBI motor, and I can probably help one way or another. Just need a little more info.
