A Wealth of Parts
Found a whole bunch of thirdgen parts cars at Salvage GM Parts in Valdosta Georgia. Approximately 35 cars. Prices are reasoable. Their number is 800 848 4635. Good folks to deal with.

Re: A Wealth of Parts
Some pictures to wet your appetite. There are four rows of F Body cars. Most of them are thirdgens.

Re: A Wealth of Parts
I did not see seats that do not need recovering. There are plenty of good seat frames. I seen two good frames with 6 way power bases.
Tony, they problaby have a disc.brake diff. Several of the cars are WS6, IROC models with rear disc brakes.
I found some good trim pieces for my 82.
I also got a perfect left rear quarter panel for Luke's 87 IROC.
Hauled it 400 miles back to nc in the trunk of my crown vic dd... In hindsight I wish we had driven the pick-up to south ga.

We have a longer trip to Valdosta planned for mid December. I am taking the F-350, my tool box, and a wish list!

Salvage GM does not have a website. They don't ship anything. They are a big busy yard that processes a large volume of late model cars, and crushes the leftovers after the most popular parts have been sold. Rich Foster, the owner made the decision a few years back to keep some of the older cars on the back lot, rather than crush them. The older cars are not the primary focus of this business, but he does have a nice selection of 60's, 70's, and 80's large American cars and muscle cars.
If you are interested in something, you will need to drive there and inspect items for yourself. They probably can't tell you on the phone what they have back there, or what they don't have. Salvage GM Parts is located in Valdosta Georgia on Tucker Road. It is about 5 miles off of I-75 roughly 20 miles from the Florida/Georgia state lines. It is located in the Valdosta Industrial Park.
I went there looking for interior plastic stuff for my 82 Trans AM. Some items on the 82 Firebirds were totally different from all other thirdgens, even the 82 Camaros. I found what I needed. Since I don't own a Camaro, the varations of those cars are not as familiar to me as the Firebirds are. From memory, most of the front spoilers needed some work. Luke needs a spoiler also, and I looked around some of them to see if I could spot a perfect one. Besides having limited room from having to transport everything 400 miles back to NC in the trunk of my dd, I did not see a perfect front spoiler. There were a couple of front spoilers that looked like they could be made nice with some work.
Hawk's Thirdgen in South Carolina sells a reproduction front spoiler that is primered, ready to sand and paint. That might be your best bet.

Re: A Wealth of Parts
That's great to know Charles. There aren't that many yards around that have older stuff still. With that many cars, it's a good possibility of finding something useable that one would need. I'll bet that quarter kept the tailgaters away. LOL
Kevin, I'll keep an eye out for you a 3 tag.
Tony, there is a disc brake rear at a local pull a part but that one in Valdosta is much closer.
