good 3rd gen shop???
Can anyone recommend a shop that specializes in our 3rd gens? I have a surging problem with mine that I'm sure is just 3rd gen related and I'm getting tired of all the shops out here "guessing" what the problem is and not fixing it but still taking my money. Anybody have any shops they can suggest? I'm in ventura county, but will make the drive for a good shop. Thanks.

Someone on this board might be able to help you, but we need to know the year, and type of fuel system. Carbs are different than fuel injection, tbi is different than tpi, and 90 -92 speed density tpi is different from 85-89 mass air flow tpi systems. You probably mentioned your car in previous posts, but some of us have short memories.

I know all about short memories, ask the wife.
The car is a 91 Z28 with the 5.7/auto combo. Completely stock. Had this problem for a year or so, just getting worse. Replaced the computer, computer chip, some other related stuff over the past year. Problem still exists. Just getting tired of replacing parts that mechanics say "could be the problem", and not solving it. Thanks again for your help guys.

maybe I should take my car here:
Don Lorentzen

Engine rebuilding, Trans rebuilding, SubFrame Connector welding, Exhaust specialist, Rear end specialist, Custom chips, Carb/TBI/TPI
Looks like they might know how to fix it.
