Hey all,
I getting an LO3 to L98 swap done, and I was wondering if I need to go to the referree once the car is running?
Thanks,

No, as our cars came with TPI ...I have done it (F-body, that's all that matters)

Re: Swap question
That was my concern... with the VIN reading TBI, and the motor being TPI... Or is it that the smog tech would see f-body and available motors are v6, TBI, TPI (must have one)

Oh, and BTW Don, are you still going to be available to install my wiring? Fedex tracking says it is gonna be here on Wednesday

Re: Swap question
imadude .... if you had a LO-3 how come you didn't just re-pin the original harness to run TPI?

Re: Swap question
My old harness was pretty messed up... cut in lots of places and "creatively rewired" (due to who ever owned the car before me)... So I got a new harness with the TPI swap parts, but it was from a 90 Formula... But another harness from a 91Z is coming this week.

Re: Swap question
The 90 to 91 difference was the big one, but there were some differences between the Firebird/Camaro (the big one being the battery location). The Firebird one would work, but the Camaro one will go in quicker and easier
