If some of you guys from the Oxnard are going to meet up with us for the caravan, we need to know a meeting place right off the 101fwy. We will meet you there at 10:00am
Like last time, I would be willing to by some leftovers.
On Thuhrsday I'll need a good head count to ensure we don't go hungry this saturday and Tom I'll make an extra one for you to take home if you want.
We still need some one to sign up for beans.
So I'll plan to eat around 12:30-1 ....leave Oxnard by 10:15-10:30 should land you at Nojoqui around noon. If there's any left over I'll keep it warm for the late arrivals.
dwayne, that would be great, Im going up to a friends in Grover city er Beach after and that would be just the ticket to pay for my freeloading the rest of the weekend
I plan on getting to Najoqui around 9 am. I want to get the big pit area on the left as you drive in...Dan I think we are taling about the same place. It's not the big of a park so look for my Black 88 IROC.
The cruise should get to the park around 12-12:30 if they leave Oxnard around 10-10:30.
I'll have the meat close to done and the bread getting toasted and ready for the beans to arrive and heat up.
I really wish my z was ready to cruise with you guys... I have always dram about seeing a long line of thirdgens just cruezing on the highway all together.. :sigh: like family...
its gonna be a while... I would have liked to have met all you peoples...
I wish you all the best and enjoy the weekend, please take lots of pics and post back.
I am leaving in 3hours ~ and staying the night somewhere nearby in the 91GTA.
Once again I wanted to throw this out their.. anyone have a gear box they want to get rid of? I will take a freebee, or give a few bucks. whatever its worth. Its for the iroc...

i plan on attending, i have to work tomorrow at 6am but plan to leave around 8:30 and head to the meet point off the 101, can i have someone's number from the orange county caravan my # is 310 961 8952 if somebody can shoot me a call or text so i can know relatively how far apart we are, im taking the 110 to the 101, by the way anyone bringing nay tools just in case of a breakdown my car makes me offly paranoid
I'm so f'ing pissed off right now. My cell phone died today. I thought maybe it was just out of power so after helping my dad at his house I headed home to put it on the charger. Nope, no luck, its dead. So I head over to the AT&T store, arriving at 8:45pm when they close at 9pm. Except, they're already closed and they wont let me in. What the hell??? So I head home and call the customer service number, and the recording says they are currently closed also. Their hours are 9am to 10pm. And its 9pm and they're already closed too? What the f'ing hell? Did AT&T accept bailout money and are now gov't employees too?
So needless to say, I wont have a cell phone at all tomorrow. Tom, you're right, AT&T sucks!
My wife's work gave her the day off unexpectedly, so she is coming too and bringing a friend. They're going to the Solvang wineries after lunch. I'm going to ride with my dad. Sorry I'm not bringing my car, Dwayne.

714-713-0768, I'll be working the back of the caravan so give me a call when you’re in route and I’ll let you know where we are.
drive over was horrible(traffic, accidents), food was good, weather was crappy, solvang was nice/fun, waterfall uhmm had no water, and everyone left early. but i did manage to get 21.52mpg that was nice, made a stop at the beach, downtown santa barbara, had dinner(Olive Garden in Oxnard) and drove back around 9:30ish, overall good new experience
It was really great to see everyone and meet new folks. Sorry about the rain...we never get rain in Aug.
I hope no one was hungry when they left and that everyone made it home safely.
Travis wins the long haul award again...thanks for making the trek buddy.
It's always fun to hang with you guys...I miss the bench racing dialog.
And for the wine tasters....next time I'll bring some of the finest Pino Nior known to man.
This time I did the tour of Solvang instead of the hike to the falls. I got 17.8 mpg up and 21.6 mpg on the return trip for an average of 19.9 mpg. It's weird I got better mileage on the return trip because we were driving a bit more "spirited" on the return trip. Maybe the city driving in Solvang dropped the mileage for that segment.
Thanks Dwayne, great tri-tip as I remembered from last time.
Sorry, I wasn't planning to drive the Firebird this trip, so I hadn't even washed the car.
Good to see you again Dwayne. Tri tip was great as usual. The rain wasn't bad. Surprising for August, but it was never much more than a slight sprinkle. Good to see every body that made it up there. The only "down side" was the traffic going up. I can't imagine how bad the 101 must be during the week!

Rain? just a few drops during the BBQ. I did hit rain north of Santa Maria.
Tustin to Santa barbara 21mpg running 75-80 when traffic permitted.
Havent filled up since I just got back.
Travis, I hit 130 then the two cars running side by side shut me down.
On the drive up the traffic and rain were a little discouraging and the flies at the park were annoying, but the people, cars and the BBQ make it all worth while. It was a nice short scenic hike up to the falls...er trickle. On the return trip the weather was sunny and the drive was much nicer.
You guys should have come back Sun. A plane landed on the SB 101 near turnpike and took out 3 cars and a pretty good car crash on the 154 at Chchuma lake.
Man I straight missed out I was planning on going over there with you guys, but i got some new rims and I needed tires and I couldnt run the ones I had I'm glady you guys had a blast hopefully next time I'l go or so.

hey were you just pacing me when i accelerated or were you floored too? when i gave up you flew by pretty good.
coming into Solvang I was barely gaining on you.
Later, I was waiting for that stretch past cat canyon and hoping for little or no traffic as I wanted to do a speed run there. Thats one of the few ~2 mile straight clear stretches along there with no x roads.
Thanks Dwayne, had a great time & good to meet all of you & see some familiar faces. The sprinkles didn't bother me but it sucked I couldn't bring out the 2nd gen. Sorry folks, that car is not going to see any moisture if I can help it
Drove all the way from Riverside for a piece of meat and bread. It was worth the drive. Good to see you again and Dwayne and glad to see people I never met. We shall do it again next year soon.
