To the "Regulars" and "Casual" Followers

It seems to have been an interesting couple of days to say the least...

First, I regularly check this site daily for all things F-Body related. I have owned both Camaro's and Firebirds. Have done so for 9 years of air breathin existence. And since i'm 31, thats been a large part of my consciousness.

Second, When I stumbled, found and came across this site. I was upbeat and other related emotions to take my hobby and journey in F-Body's path down another road. I purchased my most recent Trans-Am from Chicago on the classifieds on here. Helping to form another great experience driving cross country. Another memory stored in my filing cabinet of a brain.

Next, In the process of restoring her to it's former glory. I came across and met a couple kats who have the talents in wrenchin' on these lovely ladies.. Dyno Don and JERRYWHO.... Currently Don's previous 9-Bolt resides in my Bird... I have met a couple of others, also been to a couple of events. Individually those I have interacted with seem to be decent folk.

However, recent posts, exchanges or interactions have raised at least an eyebrow. Probably the many wrinkles in our foreheads! lol! Had to throw a lil' humor in there.... JulieGTA stated in a post in a previous thread that is now locked (which one could that be?), in an attempt to be impartial. That most folks are decent, smooth and mostly easy to get along with. And I have no dispute with this thought or reasoning.

My thought is that the interactions of members who have fit's or tantrums spill it on here. Whether it's mis-communication or disagreemnts. These are not valid reasons to thrust negative vibes or thoughts on here. Due to the fact it affects the many and those situations are concentrated to the few. I myself in an attempt to give my point of view and clarification did not post on a specific thread when B.S. was spit upon this board. I sent a P.M. to keep it direct to gain this understanding with my words for clarification and reasoning. As I felt this should be an appropriate way in conducting such business

It will if not already cause the desicions of others who have not attended or just once or twice, not to either come out or stop all together. I for one am undecided at the moment. As I read all of the "available" info still atainable due to threads being locked, info deleted or edited. It has left a big confusing ? mark on my skull.... Yet just enough exsists to just roll my eyes and laugh due to the mockery of something that is supposed to be bigger than just "US" as owners..

Its supposed to be about the "cars".... And when others have personal issues no matter who it is, shoot forget about dyno day.. Just in general, it should be handled outside this board or out of our consciousness... Since the actions of the few should not affect the many. It should serve as a big notice when the "Godfather" of TGO, the webmaster himself JT has to close a thread and give the feeling of a spanking of a childs rear when things go wrong or for that matter disappointing. That should say something.

Finally, I hope things get worked out, and bygones can be bygones... And the actions of the past and present of individuals don't affect the masses in southern cali. of SC3G or TGO.... Again it's about the cars... The Ego and other immature behavior should be left at the door....

God Bless...
Adrian

Well spoken Adrian, at least all the regulars and casuals have now seen what the current leadership at SC3G is all about.

So speak up ladies and gentlemen what are we going to do about it?

Re: To the "Regulars" and "Casual" Followers

A Casuals Point of View.
I'm about as casual as a casual can get, I guess. I suspect many don't know all the facts involved here. As far as I can tell, the current officers were elected by the members in attendance at the election meeting. I think they should complete their term before any changes are made. A meeting could be held soon, not necessarily at a eatery venue. Differences should be aired face to face with all attending members participating, to get all the facts out in the open. Compromises can be made, and some general concessions in leadership style could be made until the end of current term. A split into two clubs should NOT be an option, for obvious reasons. Beer drinking, hugging & kissing should be delayed until all issues are discussed! When decisions are made while "happy", sooner or later sober time comes, and the problems are still there.
Just a little guys opinion.

Re: To the "Regulars" and "Casual" Followers

I for one thought this dog of a thread was dead and buried.

Threads on this subject were locked and/or deleted as it appeared that the parties involved had agreed to drop it. I was not going to respond to a post from 3000 miles away until I realized misinformation was being stated here.

As usual Dyno Don has his facts wrong. The issue was started by his son Kevin L who way back in Jan QUIT this club. Kevin sets up Dyno days and charges members to reprogram their chips. Kevin is the one who made this particular dyno day a "invitation only" event at 12:19 am the morning of the event.

so then the person that got hexed was the one that was running their mouth off in the forums, I assume it was "_ _ _ _ _ _ _" ... oh hey, dyno don does custom tunes? how much does it cost... I'm doing a FI conversion soon and if the price is reasonable I will go with speed density... lol.. like the 360 I did on the OP's topic?... :P

This kind of thing does not belong here, nor does the discussion. Here is a quote from one of the admins of this website:

Thanks.
I'm going to spell out exactly what this means, for anyone not paying attention.

JT has better things to do than come here all the time to moderate this board. I've asked or suggested multiple members to take the job and exercise the authority of it, but nobody wants it. I cant really blame them but there needs to be a neutral party over here (Not Kevin, Don, Lon, Mike, Tom F, or me, and likely a few others) keeping the non-tech off this board. Posting about events is fine, bickering and rehashing old grudges such as this is not. OTHERWISE, I can almost assure you that none of you will be posting here because the board will no longer exist. I'm sure it has gone that far. Patience has run out.

I'm going to politely ask that this end right here, right now. No more posts, no more replies. Not even to the reply I am making. You want to post up any opinion or vent frustrations, go to http://www.sc3g.org/phpBB2/ and do it there please. Thank you.

It amazes me how people read the same words that I read(Typed).. And people grab different conclusions... I agree with the quote above. Which in a nutshell is whut I was tryin to say in a long winded fashion. It was not to rehash whut has been done. It is to allow people who are adults to behave as such and handle things accordingly.. And make this about our CARS....

This was my way of expressing that and trying to get folks to focus on that. Maybe I failed at that in the process... And if so.... I apologize for that. Again it's about the cars for me so I have no problem sidestepping and gettin' outta folks way.. Not to continue old banter.. May everyone have a great day, because it's beautiful outside and smell the roses.. Yo, it could be worse (a lil' perspective ya dig)
