Re: Super ram intake
yeah and you better know how to adjust the valves and rockers. The small screws you can notch them for a flat screw driver and that makes it easier for the Super Ram plenum bolts to be put in. You want to get the resin gasket glue for the gaskets you want to put them on the runners of the super ram. Now Im not sure hp wise but I think they give a stock 350 30-40 hp. And close to 50- 55 hp tuned and using a 1000 cfm throttle body.

Re: Super ram intake
yeah I wouldn't bother spending the money on one if this is for a stock motor, or anything close to stock. I would think you would be much better for with some aftermarket runners and perhaps a better intake and ported plenum.
I did use the TPIS intake manifold rather than the Accel one when I bought mine, as far as average price that depends on how you want to put it together.
52 or 58mm throttle body
Intake Manifold?
New or Used?

Thanks for the feed bad guys. I'm installing it in my 90 GTA LT headman headers, pulley, and shift kit with 373's. Just looking for a bit more power out of it. I'm thinking about going the ls1 route but I know it's a hasle

Re: Super ram intake
My opinion is without the need for more fuel, meaning an engine with more compression/modifications the air you are going to add with the SuperRam is probably going to kill some of your low end torque, granted with your gears it will probably not "feel" so bad and you will likely achieve a high total MPH. Having already gone that route with a thirdgen and if I had the opinion of staying with an L98 or waiting and saving and going through the "hassle" of an LS1 swap I would honestly go with the swap. One major reason being the tunning difference plus the overall driviability once you are done.

Re: Super ram intake
what i have read on these lingenfelter intakes is that they are better suited for stroker engines and best for 383 and they are APITA to install i have also read that the FIRST TPI intake is justas good as the superram but maintains a stock look but more hp gain some people dont like the superram because they say it looks like a transmission pan but i like it well thats just my

Building a Tpi Vs an Ls1 is yes the Ls1 abiltys are greater. But I much rather go for the Tpi over all being what you can build for the dollar with the tpi over the ls1. Tuning for the Ls1 is more advanced yes, but you can still get stuck into a tune that just may not work well and you may never be able to get it corrected unless you hire a professional. With Tpi your most likely going to get someone with the experiece and hopefully equipment to tune overall the equipment is probably cheaper.

Re: Super ram intake
The SuperRam is a difficult to install intake manifold system, but it works better than the stock intake, for sure. To really make it flow better, you can siamese the runners so its one big runner feeding two cylinders.

It only told him something if he had knowledge about the SuperRam in the first place. Its like an inside joke and he didnt understand.

Agreed, but where I come from, particularly when you don't know anything about the subject, a response like that is considered rude.
