This year instead of having a traditional club Christmas party at a local restaurant, we will be having a Christmas Toy Drive & 3rd Gen Meet with all donations going to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Tis the season to give! Given the current state of the economy, there are legions of honest hard working families that are just hovering above the poverty level. Many of which are barely able to put food on the table, let alone purchase gifts for their children during the holiday season. We would like to ask that participants please bring a new unwrapped toy to be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles to be given to a child in need. Donations are not mandatory, however they would greatly be appreciated.

This will be a publically advertised event with an open invitation to all 3rd generation f body owners in the Southern California area. Based on past events that have been publicly advertised, participation will be substantial.

We understand that the John Force Holiday Car Show is happening on the same day and that there are some of you that will be in attendance. As much as we would love to have everyone attend our event, we completely understand if some are unable to make it to both events given the distance between the two.

There are several shows going on December 4th in the So Cal area. Print advertising for this event is going to be concentrated in the general vicinity of Bob's Broiler so the majority of participants will more than likely be from the local area. However, everyone is welcome to swing by and hang out.

I finalized the advertising schedules with the local newspapers/publications in addition to an ad in the Downey Patriot this week. Additionally, I have a high-res PDF of the our Toy Drive flyer available for those of you that would like to print a few out and do a little grassroots advertising in your local areas.

Morgan brought up a great point on our SC3G Facebook Page, and that it not to forget about toys for little girls. Having been to many toys for tots drives & holiday car shows over the years, people typically bring toys for little boys and forget about the little girls based on the nature of the event. So let's not forget about toys for little girls! Board games, educational games, unisex toys (legos, blocks, craft kits) etc. also make wonderful donations

Additionally we've received an event support package from Children's Hospital Los Angeles. So we are off to a great start

We are adding a 50/50 drawing and we are in the process of working with staples in the performance aftermarket industry on some donations for raffle prizes!

I'm getting a new fuel line from Classic Industries today (Fuel pump to Carb) today so if that fits, and I bleed my brakes this weekend, I should be able to be there.

Fuel line went in with some minor adjustments. Just need to tweek a few things up. For some reason, when I punch it, it doesn't want to go. May have to adjust the T.V. cable and need to adjust the running rich issue. But if I don't, the car still goes fine, just can't "burn rubber" at the moment.

Important Information

Attendees will receive (1) raffle ticket and (1) goodie bag per donation of (1) new unwrapped toy. The more toys you donate, the better your opportunity to win a raffle item.

The raffle will begin promptly at 3PM with items being raffled of every quarter hour up to 4:30PM and will conclude with the 50/50 drawing.

Our 50/50 raffle will involve the sale of raffle tickets with the proceeds being split evenly between the winner and the Southern California 3rd Generation F Body Club (SC3G).

50/50 Raffle Tickets will be available in the following denominations:

$1 – 1 Ticket
$5 – 6 Tickets
$10 – 15 Tickets
$20 – 35 Tickets
