make it lift?

hey i have watched alot of races and i see thirdgens front ends come right up off the ground? what do they got under there hood? and what do i have to do to get the front of my car come right off the ground? i no that there is some special springs that lift up easy come down hard to transfer the power to the back.
can u guys give me info on what is needed i want to get my car to lift off the ground nothing amazing maby lke 5inchs

Its all in the weight transfer of the car. In short, drag struts for the front, drag shocks for the back, drag springs up front, as little weight as possible on the front of the car (move as much of that weight to the back as possible) and a set of super sticky tires and you will have a start. A lot of guys in some of the stock classes pull the tires with 350 horsepower. You may get better results in the organized racing boards though.

They have midgets under the car that push it up on launch. If you look really close, you can see their feet. I'd recomend at least three midgets under the hood for your application, because thridgens are so heavy.

We only needed one midget for our Pinto. It was really light and had a short wheel base, so the little guy didn't have to do too much work.
