Preloading rear sway bar?

Preloading rear sway bars, and how is this done? Is the talk about the OEM style bars, or the aftermarket Wolfe Race Craft style? I have heard of this increasing traction to a degree, and would like to experiment. Thanks.

Preload. I dont like that word. I think the phrase should be inital weight jack.

To me if I were trying to preload the right rear tire...

I would reduce the size of the spacer on the end link on the left rear.

This would make the left rear sway bar end closer to the chassis.

I would leave the right side alone or either lenghten the end link spacer.

The effect that this would have is to initially put twist or torsion in the rear sway bar.

The right side should now be trying to lift the right rear side of the chassis the same as adding more spring rate to that tire.

The left side should be tring to do the exact oppisite.

You may be able to also adjust the front sway bar the polar opposite to add more spring weight to the left front which would also add weight to the right rear. (anti wedge or reverse cross)

I may be totally wrong about all of the above, but believe that I am correct.
