Severe Drop...What size tires?

I've got an '87 SC with dropzone springs and it's very low in the front. I'm getting ready to put my 16" irocs on. What size tire should I use for the least amount of rubbing? Would the stock size for this wheel be ok?

Car: 86 Iroc

I'm in the process of putting 18" iroc's on mine and am going with a 245 width but was also told I could go to a 255 by many with no rubbing issues what so ever.

24 3/4" fender height on 245/50-16 tires and 16" IROC's. This car is a lightweight nosed V6 (so less bounce inertia from less engine weight) and the suspension is very very stiff with 800lb springs and Koni Yellows so it does not rub- Car only has a front suspension travel of 1" normal and 1 1/2" in the most severe case. If you have more travel than this- which you most likely will have double, you will be grounding out and the tire will hit the top of the fender well.

ps- you have to be hitting with the tires yoiu have right now on large bumps.

My fender height is 24 3/4" too, but I'm hoping it will come up just a little with some new struts. I guess I will go with the 245/50-16. Thanks for the help!
