I'm looking for some real stiff springs with not very much drop, like 1" front 1/2 to 0" back and real stiff. All the companies I have found are like 11/2" lower. Can someone sugest some springs for me

You could get factory WS6 springs and cut a coil off. Hotchins has 1" drop springs.

I put in Hotchkis springs, dropped the front 1.75". I had all sorts of problems such as front suspension bind where literally the front tires would grab or stop moving on inclines and under hard braking. Very unsafe. Put in some Global West springs (almost everybody said this wouldn't fix the problem), and voila. 3 mos. later, no front suspension probs. 1" is max I'd suggest. I also prefer the GW over the Hotchkis, since they aren't progressive. Progressive are just too inconsistent over the same bumps day after day.

You didn't mention the model of your car other than the year. This is important because Irocs already had about 1" drop from the factory, and pretty stiff springs to boot. If you have an Iroc,Ws6 or better, leave it alone. If you have an RS, you can afford an inch or so. Iroc springs are plentiful and junk yard cheap. If I change the springs on my car, that's the first place I'll look.

The stiffest springs ain't necessarily the best springs.

I have the exact same car and I had the exact same question. I called Summit and they said that a company called suspension techniques sells springs that do not alter the ride height. I think they said they could special order them for about $100 a set (front/rear)

I beleive PST sells some springs they advertise as 'Ground Zero' Springs. When I ordered mine I asked for stiffer springs with as close to stock hight as possible. I got stiffer springs, lost onlt 1/2" height F 0" R, and best of all the bloody springs were made by MOOG.

Zac, I have the exact same car(92RS w/f41) and just replaced the springs with hotchkis.
So far no problems,the drop was minimul.Of course i still have to avoid speedbumps but no problems with tire rub or binding.With these springs and the KYB's i put on the difference in handling is amazing.
