cutting springs other questions.

I have eibach springs and they have been on the car for two years. they were sapossed to settle after a while but cant tell any difference. Can I safetly cut a quarter or half a spiral off to drop the car. Also what is the largest tire that can fit on the stock 15inch TA wheels.
Thanks
Matt

I cut the Eibach springs in my 92 to get the ride height where I wanted it.Just take a little off at first, once it's cut off you can't put it back.I ended up cutting about 3/4 of a coil off the fronts.(1/4 at a time)
Use a die grinder and 3" cutoff wheel.grind the sharp edge down, so it doesn't try to chew through the A-Arm.Shoot some spray paint on the cut to keep it from rusting.
Not sure about how big of a 15" Tire you can fit. I have the 16"x8" Wheels with 245-45ZR16's.

Richs instructions for spring cutting sound good.

a stock 15" wheel is 7 inches wide.
The widest tire you can put on a 7 inch wheel and still have an oval, instead of a wedge shaped sidewall is a 235 or at the most 245 series tire. You can go wider but the side wall will take on a wedge shape and the tread will curve out in the center.
