I have an 87 IROC convertible and it sits about 3/4 of an inch lower on the passenger side right rear wheel versus the driver side right wheel. Front seems to be level.
If you had to guess, what would be the cause?

Since you've already done the obvious and replaced your old wore-out garbage stock springs (costs about as much as a set of spark plugs and takes about ¼ as much time to change... literally takes longer to jack the rear of the car up than it does to replace the springs), what effect did it have?

I just bought the car a week ago and I have no idea what was done on it prior to my ownership.

Well try a set of rear springs, along with your typical "new to me" overdue car-maintenance catch-up, like changing the oil, trans fluid, rear end lube (make sure you look at what's in there so your next post isn't "do I have a posi" or "how do I tell what gears I have"), plugs wires cap & rotor, brakes, shocks (at which time the springs will literally FALL OUT if you don't hold them up with your hand), lubing the door hinges, aligning the body parts, etc.

d00d that's just RONG!!! Go sit in the penalty box, the full 2 minutes, no motor no heat no radio.

But yeah, the CC635 is one of the 2 correct choices; 5665 being the other. That's not an outstandingly outstanding price though, shop around a bit first.

Thank you. I graduated high school in 1988 and the Iroc convertible was what I wanted when I was 17. Now that I'm 40, I finally got one.
I have zero mechanical interest, but I paid $8k for the car. And could see putting that much again in to it to make it a fun ride.

After spending about 12 hours of reading TGO, I've decided my 1st action will be springs and struts. I want a stock ride height. I'm going with MOOG 5662/5665. Fairly cheap at $150 for all 4.
After reading on and on, it seems like I'd either want to go with KYB-GR2, which it seems like I could get all 4 for like $150 or a set of Koni Yellow for like $750.
Is that right? Could they really be worth like 5 times as much?
At the same time I may as well put in the Lower Control Arms.
But I been reading a lot about the Strut Mounts. Is it crucial to replace those too?
This will just be a weekend fun car. No racing, showing, drifting, hit turns at 40mph.

I know this has already be done probably but are both rear spring isolators on the car?

I don't even know what that is. At this point I'm just going to get new springs and shocks and pay my local mechanic to put them on. Hopefully that'll do it.
I'm just really torn between the KYB GR2 and Koni Yellows. I'll probably spring for the Konis but it's a tough call.

The KYB GR2 are a good entry level shock/strut for normal driving conditions. Will you see a difference between that and the Koni? Yes. The Koni are adjustable, meaning you can make them firmer or softer, depending on how you like the car to ride and are also rebuildable. Meaning when the KYB crap out and you need to replace them, you can just have the Koni rebuilt.

The strut mount is a wearable piece that is often overlooked when replacing parts. It is a good idea to replace them. If you are planning on doing shocks and struts, you might as well replace the strut mounts. You are going to need an alignment done, so do all of the parts associated with it at once. I have about $1,500 worth of parts in my garage waiting to be put on for that exact reason.
