Steering gear box question (videos)
So while working on my car this weekend, I was trying to figure out the problem with the play in the steering. I'm pretty sure it's all in the gear box now, if anyone wants to confirm watching these two videos. I've tried tightening the adjustments on the steering gear box and these videos are after doing that.
This first one is a video of my rag joint (which is in pretty good shape from the looks of it). You can see the play in the steering wheel initially as I rock the wheel back and forth, and it looks like it's turning the steering gear box shaft when doing that, I also turn the wheel fully to make the wheels actually turn and then go back to just rocking it to show the difference.

And this video shows the pitman arm while doing the same thing. No movement in the pitman arm while rocking the steering wheel. So I'm guessing this is just showing that the gear box itself is where the play is?
