I routinely autocross and drift race my 91 camaro, and some events require a cage. My question is whether sub frame connectors would be of any use with a 6 point cage welded in. I want SFCs, but if a cage is going to render them pointless, ill just skip them and go for the cage. Thanks!

A well done cage will be orders of magnitude stiffer than subframe connectors. When you say 6-point I assume just a single diagonal door bars and 2 down bars in back? If I were building something for a class that just required a roll bar I'd do a 10-point. Using door X-bars that are tied into the front and rear shock mounts. It should make for a very stiff and light cage. The SFC's at that point are probably just extra weight.

If you just want a simple rollbar, the SFC's should still help.

SFC with a 6 point will do more then just a 6 point by it's self.
i can tell you the 2 together. work fantastic. and you can always add more bars if you need them....
