Q-jet to TBI

I just bought a 86 Z28 with a Q-jet yesterday. would it be best to replace it with the tbi setup from my wrecked 88 or just get it rebuilt( the Qjet)? I don`t know much about the Q-jets so for ease of maintanence would it be best to swap to tbi

electronic controls will net more power, mileage, and drivability than mechanical controls of the q-jet. i do know some people that have goten q-jets to run pretty good, but everyuone i kow that has switched to soem form of fuel injectioon has picked up noticably from the swap.

you will want a fuel pump that can support 10-12 psi. an intank set up would be nice, but if you are on a budget you may be able to get away with using a block mount style high volume pump. you will just have to run a return line. or you can switch to a mallory or similar electric pump. teh advantage of teh intank is that it is much quiter than external electrics, i don't know how important that is to you, i find th atconstant humm very annoying, maybe you don't.

Do I need to swap out the computer for the tbi setup or will the qjet computer work? Also how hard is it to change the wiring harness or would i be able to use the same harness?
