In a N/A stock heads 305 LO3.

NO.

I'm starting to wonder if 13s with stock LO3 heads is possible w/o a sub 2.0 sec 60'.

With a big block you could do it with a stock tc.

I'm debating the same thing, I have the heads and electric grinder in my garage. Don't really have the time(main reason) or $$ for machine work. If you're bent on the budget 305 I'd get some home ported LB9 heads or some cheap used vortecs if you don't already have the lb9 heads.

WIth a 305, Your gonna have to work to get in the 14s, and I think you would need heads, alot of cam and a stall to go 13s.

Exactly what heads is he selling you for $250? Ported and polished by who? If the person doing them didnt know what they were doing they could do as much harm as good. Are they freshly rebuilt? Is the head gasket surface flat? What sized valves do they have? Will they work on your small bore 305?

You might get into the 14s, but a low 15s is more real. My buddy has a 90 iroc with with 350 TPI, 2600 stall, shift kit, ported intake, full custom chip, headers, not cat exhaust, and I take him out out every time. He's pulling mid to low 14s (uncorrected).

i had world torquer 305 heads fully ported and polished, and a bunch of other stuff... but those opened me up. I was pickin on those ls1's but my 305 was far from stock. I am also interested in what kind of heads this guy is selling you. It may be very disappointing.,

3,200 on a lockup tranny is not problem.

Leaving from idle, ie no power braking I ran mid 13s with my cross fire, with a sliightly looser then stock converter.

Is that with a 305 or 350? With stock heads that's an accomplishment.

I'm hoping to get 13s without the torque convertor, only things I have left are the intake and some M/T ET Streets. Hopefully I'll have them by mid summer and get her up to the track and see how she runs.

i still need to get my car back up and running lol then we will really see how good my car is haha

beast5spdgta is running 14.5 now with stock heads, i am assuming he must have hit up the track today. So I am thinking 13 should be possible on stock heads..
