for anyone whos installed a compucam

i am installing the 2010 (brute low end torque model along with an edelbrock performer intake) in my bird tomarrow, the list of mods so far is hypertech chip, open exhaust, open element filter, and B&M shift kit, its a 305, and was wondering what i can expect from this combo? Any help would be appreciated, as well as any info on what to watch out for when installing the cam. Thanx

I have the CompuCam 2020 in my car, but I did all the other work at the same time(see signature) so I can't say how much it helps by itself, it's a little bigger than a 2010, the major improvement I did I think was porting and polishing my heads. The stock heads are going to be your major restriction but you should see some gains, I didn't have any problems installing the cam. As long as you have the intake off it's not much more work to pull the heads and have some porting and polishing done on them, and if you add headers at the same time it makes the install easy.

I have the compucam, and love it, but did not install it alone, so have no comparison to judge it by itself. My grind has a SWEET POWERBAND AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE GEARS TO MATCH. IDLES LIKE A KITTEN. Sorry bout the caps, I need to look up more often, lol!

I really don't know what the times are, I would guess low 6 sec. 0-60 times, but I have stoplight raced several stock 5.0 Rustangs and Z-28's and I don't have any trouble beating them. I'm going to be getting Spohn subframe connectors, lca's,relocation bracket's, panhard bar and box in my stock torque arm and get some 3.42 gears soon, then I'm going to take it to the track and see what it will do. I think it will cut a low 14 sec. time then.
