Trans/ throttle bracket problem!

Here is my problem.
I've just installed new heads, cam, and a Vortec Air Gap manifold.
The stock bracket does not fit.
I then get the holley bracket for a aftermarket manifold and it doesn't line up right either.(holley #20-97)
Neither one has the right tension on either cable.(no criuse control by the way)

I'm hoping I'm just overlooking something but I don't think so.
If you guys have no remedy for me I guess my only option is fabricating one.

Any insite is appreciated.

Well considering I have a similar setup I'm going to be the first to tell you exactly what you have to do to the stock bracket to make it work. It's easy and takes maybe a half hour if you work slow. Basically you'll be putting it in the same spot facing the same direction. The intake mounting hole needs to be bent 45 more degrees to be on plane with the vortec intake manifold! The bolt you'll use is the last one, closest to the firewall. On the other end you will need to slot the whole so that it wraps around the bolt for the coil. You can do it the other way around and make the coil bolt stock and slot the intake bolt side (that's what I did). The problem might occur that you're not using the holley TB adaptor plate. If that's the case you'll need to do more fabrication. If you haven't installed the holley TB unit yet I recommend grinding off the top piece of the throttle linkage and flipping it to the other side with a simple carb screw in fitting. This ensures that the TV cable doesn't rub against the throttle cable.

I have the Holley Pro-Jection manifold and I had to do some serious cutting and welding of the bracket they supplied. It was about 1.5" too long, and 3/4" off to the left.
