Swapped in a Crossfire and now no power to injectors?

I just did a swap in my 83 z28 that was originally carbed and I put in a crossfire from a 83 bird(i changed the ECU, and wiring harness). Just installed a holley electric fuel pump and fuel gets to the throttle bodies and I think it just goes right out the return. Turned the engine over has spark so I checked the injectors and no fuel was coming out. Check for power while it was turning over and there was no power at the injector. So my question is why. Or how do I get power to them? I can hear some sound from the 4 wire plug on both throttle bodies so they obviously have power. Any help apreciatted!

Being an ex crossfire car I think I may have a solution to your issue. Tbi, Crossfire, and Tpi cars have a plug under the near the harness somewhere that has 6 plugs. some are grounds, the others power the injectors. http://chevythunder.com/fuel%20injec....%20pg%20C.htm The very bottom pic shows the plug that I am refering to. being a carb'ed car,you may not have the connector. Also, is your fuel pump comming on? If there is no fuel, the injectors can pulse all they want, and they will never see fuel ever. Also, original crossfire cars have a fuse box spot for 3 amp fuses for each of the injectors. That is once again most likely related to the white plug explained earlier. They are switch related because I tested them earlier this year for a project I was gonna use them for. It's possible that you don't have a switch to get voltage to the injectors when the key is in the run position. IF anybody else has any more info let us know.

Cheers!!

Make sure that you have a switched 12v power source for the injectors. Being an original carbed car, your interior harness won't have the leads necessary for the efi. The ECM only completes the ground to the injectors so you will probably have to add that etxra circuit.

Re: Swapped in a Crossfire and now no power to injectors?

Ok, I got it, the main engine harness that runs to the ecm also has a couple of white/black plugs that run through the dash and to the fuse box. By the way I know its getting fuel becuase I installed an external Holley pump and I have it on switched power and can hear it running. So you saying I have to take all of the dash wiring(where the white/black plugs are) from the bird and put that in the camaro? Has anyone done this/ how hard would that be to do. I would have to switch out fuse boxes too, correct? Is the dash wiring in a camaro the same as a fire bird? Also, as a side note, will the engine run ok if I removed the a/c, all the smog stuff, and put headers on it? I've now been debating if I should just throw a carb on it and go. I will have to see how hard it is to change all these dash wires first... Thanks a lot
