Reground cam????
Why do some people say not to get reground cams and they've never used one? They should be just like new seems to me it's just like milling heads? Let me know I want to get a regrind of the Lt4 production cam. Thanks

The guy who regrinds my cams (owns the shop) says he PREFERS a 'seasoned' cam over a 'new' one. Especially the stuff that's currently coming into the country from overseas. Says he has far less issues with old ones.

As long as it's done right, no reason not. His thinking is that if a lobe hasn't gone flat due to a flaw in the metal after "X" years, it's not likely to do it after grinding it down a bit.
Of course, if the grinder fails to re-surface harden it - that's different.
You didn't mention if it was a roller or flat tappet, but... if it's a flat tappet, make sure to use new lifters (of course!) and to get the cam parkerized.
Oh yeah... since this has somewhere between little and nothing to do with TBI units - lets please let this thread die here.
