throttle issue?

ok so i got an 90rs, 305 tbi, you know the deal...when I drive the car and look at the rpm its reading around 3-400 at a stop and it feels like its going to die but never does. The fuel pump was just replaced and everything is connected correctly. My question is does the car naturally idle this low...and if not could this be the injectors? or throttle position sensor?

thanks tim

A contaminated oxygen sensor can cause low idle.

I would look at it.

autom=automatic

idle is controled by a metered vac leak. the iac valve needs to be looked at to see if it functions properly. you can see it by looking down the TBI unit. jumper the ALDL and you can cycle it with ign on engine off. It may be sticking or stuck closed.
