My engine is pissing (oil) like a race horse....
A couple of days ago while cahnging a broken motor mount I noticed my small oil leak has gotten slightly worse. They say Chevys run the best when they leak oil. We think the original leak was from the O-ring or seal near the distributor. Now we have discovered both valve covers are seeping oil, even though they were tightened down with a torque wrench and were given the required amount of torque the spec sheets stated. I also have oil in the front of the oil pan but the oil stains in my driveway are directly under the raer of the oil pan. It is not the rear seal because nothing around that area is wet, no oil at all. I have no idea where it is coming from. Please HELP...

If the valve covers leak, the oil wll drain downwards and rearwards. If the timing cover or front seal leak, oil will be blown rearwards. It all ends up dripping off the rear of the motor.
Fix the leaks you already know about, make sure they're really sealed not just go through the motions, then take the car to the quarter car wash and use a can of engine degreaser to clean it off, from top to bottom, being especially careful to clean around where there might be leaks. Remaining leaks should be extremely easy to spot.

SInthetikiroc i saw the qoute in a magazine. It was an article about a Nova VS. Mustang and the nova was dripping oil before they ran it. My oil leak was small at first and it got bigger and became a pain.
Thanks for the replies.
