the back seat. should be enough room if the box isn't too big. might even have to put it in the back storage area. as for under the hood, there is no good place without a ton of work and removing other items. then you pretty much stick it just behind where the alternator or a/c compressor is now.

i'm going to have to disagree with zippy and say under the hood is an exellent place to put a turbo, however i would put an intercooler in the back seat.

boy, i think the comment was taken incorrectly. i wasn't suggesting mounting the turbo back there, just putting it back there as in still in the box. a turbo on a third gen is a bad idea in general due to the cost and complication of running one. the place you'd be mounting it likely would be as close to the manifold/header y-pipe (usually custom built) as possible. take a look at the location on the tta cars and you'll get the idea. as far as i know, there isn't a good kit out for it.

You'd put an intercooler in the back seat? I think I'd put it at the front of the car, where it's more likely to get some air flow...

ok si you got me, i was thinking intercooler tank, like guido has in his car. guess i was thinking faster than i was typing when i said that. yeah the back seat would be about as bad a place for an intercooler as it would for a turbo.

If its a Water-Air cooler you could put it inside the car. I think some of the "Big-boys" do it that way. An air-to-air inside the car would be a big no no tho.
