i need some help guys

whats up guys, not in the best mood right now-got a real confusing problem-I took my car to the dealership the other day to have to car taken care of (replaced the whole intake gasket) took 2 days in the shop; get the car back, and when i beep my alarm (viper-2 buttons) the headlights go up a little, and back down with the lights (the lights are suppose to blink, but the headlights never/aren't suppose to go up and down-i've had the alarm on the car for a year now . . .so i don't think thats the problem-but i will have that checked . . . .
also, when i push in the parking light switch, the headlights come up (not on) and that never happened . . .
well, the next day i took the car back, and made them inspect it and they couldn't figure it out, now i'm stuck w/ this friggin problem!

anyone ever had this happen to them before or have any idea whats wrong with the car?!?!? any info would be appreciated

They might have got the wrong wire when they went to the switch for the parking light flash. Look to see where the white wire from the alarm goes, then check the wiring diagram for your car and see if they got the right one. If you don't have a wiring diagram I can look it up for you.

Later,
Matt

thanks matt, yea its a viper alarm-had it now for about a year! so i don't know if thats whats doing it-i replaced the whole headlight/parking switch-and thats not it . . .so its either the alarm, or what some jackass at the dealership did to my car (technically, shouldn't they be responsible and fix it?)
i made an appointment this sat. w/ the company that installed the alarm so i'll keep this post up

btw, does anyone know if the viper sys. has a master reset button type of a deal?!?! thanks

any one else w/ ideas!!?!?!

This same sorta thing happened to my '92 Formula which had an Ungo alarm installed in '92. It was 9 years old and one day when I disarmed my alarm, the headlights popped up(but the lights didn't turn on). The difference is with mine the headlights wouldn't go back down. I could turn the lights on and off, but they'd never pop back down. Even when I stopped and manually cranked 'em down, as soon as I started my car(never touching the alarm this whole time) the lights would pop back up again. I finally disconnected my alarm and the lights have worked regularly ever since Sounds like your alarm has gone bad (at least as far as making your headlights act weird).
