Crankcase pressure/ oil leak
Hi..
After my procharger install its leaking oil all the time( at idle and so on...)
Its leaking oil when its hot at the oilpan/camchain cover. I have removed my PCV and just put a hose and vents in to atm. but it still leaks.
Can I use my AIR pump as a vacuum pump and draw oil fumes from the crankcase to releave some pressure.
any ideas?
/N.

using a vacuum pump to relieve pressure is the key. If yours will work is another question. If you have too much pump, you're just gonna suck oil out of the crankcase and dump it out. Not to mention the pump might not like the oil. I've heard of using electric pumps off something like a Ford Tempo but I am not positive. This has become popular on some bracket race cars so you might check it out on some of those message boards.

LT1 have electric air pump. If I find one I will try it on, should I plug the RH valve cover to create more vacuum?
