How long does a bronze gear usually last ?

Any idea ? My iron gear got chewed up in a matter of weeks by my steel solid roller and now I got a bronze gear in there. I read that it's supposed to last 500-1000 miles only. Is that true ? That's IT ? lol Because in that case I'll have to buy stock in whoever makes these!

Send a message via ICQ to ede
if you have a steel roller you used the wrong gear to start with, the bronze gear will last much longer.
