OK Now I REALLY need help, my car won't start!
OK I re-installed the intake manifold, changed plugs and wires. Installed the distributor wrong, so I found TDC and 0 degrees by hand, then set the timing. I was attempting to cure a vacuum leak, so I also reset the minimum idle speed.
Yesterday I test-drove it for the first time, and it was running poorly, seemed to be missing badly... I decided maybe it was a plug misfireing.
So this morning I double-checked the plug wire routing, all wires go to the correct plugs. There was one wire that hadn't "snapped" onto the plug, so I took it off and put it back on, now it snapped on nicely.
Problem is, now the car won't start. It's colder out today than yesterday (50 degrees out, yesterday when I test drove it was probably 70+). It turns over fine with the starter, it started to catch the first time I tried starting, but died as soon as I let the key out of "start". After that it just turns over and won't catch, even when I open the throttle.
It's a 305 TBI by the way.
Help!

OK I got it to start. Lowering the fuel pressure back to near-stock helped... And it just seemed more ready to start. The stumbling is still very much in evidence though, I think that may be why I was having trouble starting. So don't bother to reply to this, just go reply to my stumbling thread.
