Figured out code 36..need pigtail that does not exsist

Ok, after 700 years of not knowing why I randomly get a 36, I figured it it is the pigtail that goes into the MAF. Now, you'd think this would be great news, and it should be, but it's not. The guy at Antietem auto said, and I quote, "Uh-oh..you are going to have an extremely hard time finding that part" I have the 5 pin pigtail which apparently is not manufactored anymore or something. PLEASE tell me you guys know of the Pigtail wherehouse in Maryland or something to that effect..I dont know what I should do..I don't think I really want to spend 500 bucks on a new MAF when mine is perfect so I can get a 10 dollar connector..help? Thanks alot

Check out a regular 'ol auto parts store... the Pep Boys ones in my corner of the world have every known GM connector hanging on a wall. Of course, the prices are high ($20-$30) for some, but if you can't find it elsewhere...

No no, you dont understand..It's the gayest thing I have ever heard..I have to buy a new sensor or find a car at the junkyard that has the pigtail in good condition..the stock MAF has 4 pins..mine was replaced with an OEM that has 5 pins. They don't make the wiring harness anymore. or the pigtail. I am seriously pissed off..

I couldn't find the 2 prong pigtail connector that goes to the ignition module on my distributor with ext coil.

Dealer said it was discontinued and none of the other parts stores had this one pigtail.

I called these guys up and 18 bucks and a few days later I had one. These guys make harnesses for a living so they should be able to get you one.

I'm curious about where you got a "stock" MAF that has only four pins in the connector. The factory diagrams for the MAF distinctly show five separate connections at the MAF on an '88 TPI.

I'm confused again...

The 88, and all the other MAF's used on 3rdgens have a 5pin connector, and any parts store can order or might have one in stock.
