How do I change my speedo..... Help

I bought a 140 speedo to replace the crappy 85mph one. I tried to remove the old speedo but I cant get it out. Does anyone know how to remove the speedo so I can change it. Thanks

Two nuts inside the white plastic housing are often problematic as is the speedo cable itself (use a long flat-bladded screw driver to trip the retaining clip--you'll become a human pretzel trying to do this). Also, to make the procedure easier, you might consider dropping the steering column a bit. Throw some masking tape over the column when you remove the cluster to provide some protection. My advice is to swap only the speedo head and not the entire cluster, since you know already that your guages function properly. Good time to consider higher intensity xenon bulbs and/or white-faced guages. Check the following link:

The 2 nuts are in the lower part of the cluster, near the corners. They are 11mm.

The speedo cable is held in by a clip. You have to depress it, toward the back of the cluster. Disconnect the cable from the cruise regulator so it can slide into the pass cabin, and reach around behind the cluster and depress the clip. It's really not hard at all.
