hi guys, its been a while
a friend of mine has a manifold edelbrock torquer for sale, he's using it on his pre-86 block (actually 327) carburated.
i'm thinking to upgrade my 350 from stock aluminium manifold to that torquer manifold, i'd like your oppinion about that manifold, is it better than my stock manifold? would you recomend it?
thanks to all.
Fernando.

It is really old technology, it's not really worth putting it on. It will probably hurt performance, and gain maybe a little above 5000rpm.

Keep in mind that that the Torquer is a single plane intake. With the cam that you listed in your sig, a standard Performer would mst likely be better suited for your engine.
As to the actual quality of the intake itself, some will say its a crappy intake, others (a select few) will say its not that bad. As ME Leigh stated, its an older design. Since its time, runner design has come a long way. Its not even the best in terms of single planes. Like other single planes, it will give a tad on the top end, at the expense of low end torque. It ranks up there with the Weiand X-Celerator intake. Match the intakes 'suggested' RPM to the cam. And the cam in your sig doesnt look anything like a single plane intake-type cam. I'd pass on it.
If you got a cam that will work with its 2500-6500 rpm range and a square-bore (Holley, etc) carb, then its a really nice, streetable single plane. My dad had one on his '73 Z28 and he loved it
Its now waiting to be installed in my '83 when I have a carb for it.
then...
the desition is taken, i will not get it, that's it
i'll try the performer or performer RPM (for my cam i think better just performer)
thanks a million guys.
Fernando.
