PCV System
My car has been leaking oil out of the valve covers. I believe i have the PCV system routed wrong. Could someone post a picture of a properly functioning PCV system?

Welcome aboard!
Under the valve covers (gasket area)? Or out the PCV valve hole? 2 different areas, 2 different problems and solutions. If the former, replace the gaskets and CLEAN THOROUGHLY.
If the later, you have either a bad PCV setup or excessive crankcase pressure caused by blow by.
A breather in one valve cover and the PCV valve in the other, routed to the intake system should be sufficient. Just be sure that the "circle of life" is there (air in, suck out).

Im leaking oil out from under the valve covers, around the bolt holes, and out the breather holes. Someone recommended to me that i should put a K&N breather filter on one valve cover and run a vac line to the throttle body or manifold from the other. Will that work?

If you have a vacuum line going from the left valve cover to the throttle body and you are running a TPI setup that is your problem. You have a breather filter on the right valve cover drawing air into the crankcase and another line forcing air from the throttle body into the crankcase through the left valve cover somethings got to give somewhere.

Trickster is correct, as usual!
WIth a breather on one valve cover (usually the passenger side), then the PCV on the driver's side should be connected to the TPI lower intake manifold port back by the #5 cylinder....
