Car: 1991 Camaro Z28

Engine: 305 TPI

Transmission: T-5

Speedometer and shift light not working

I've had my 91 z28 camaro for a while and all of a sudden the speedometer along with the shift light stop working? Anyone know what it could be? Rev meter still functioning along with all other gauges, but the speedometer, shift light, and mileage reader also stopped at its current mileage 49,553. Anyone got any ideas??

Engine: 5.0L TBI (ebl inside)

Transmission: T-5

Axle/Gears: 3.42 lsd 10 bolt

Sounds like speedo gear in the transmission.
