MOROSO'S 6 QUART OIL PAN, ANYBODY HAVE ONE?????

I'm looking into at a MOROSO 6 quart oil pan. Part number 710-20182. It's 8-1/4" deep.

Questions: will I still have a good amount of ground clearance? Should a buy a hi-vol/press pick up? How do I go about installing the pickup? Will it clear my y-pipe? Does it come with a windage tray or crank scraper? What one can/should I get if it doesn't? Do these free hp?

Thanks a lot.

I have a 6qt Moroso pan on my motor...not sure if it's the same part number. They do hang lower than the stock pan but not to the point where it is unacceptable. The pan fits fine around the stock y-pipe, however when I was running an slp y-pipe I had some clearance issues. I ended up smacking a flat in the y-pipe to get enough clearance between the two.

You will need to buy the specific oil pump pick-up for that pan. My pan did not come with a crank scraper/windage tray.

How much did you have to bend your pipe? I have an aftermarket one also.

Should I get a hi vol/ press pickup? How do I install it? do they make a crank scraper that fits this pan?

I can tell you that I have a Moroso with kickouts. I believe it runs 7 quarts, but it cleared the crossmember (bearly !)
I don't know about the stock y pipe, but it's fits fine with hooker comp. headers.

I run a dual 2.5" exhaust.

Good Luck,

Ron
