flow numbers for canfield?
what are you all up to tonight? well i was just crusing around to different companies sites, looking for comparisons of their products vs. other companies, and saw that AFR is the only one(i saw) that had flow numbers for their heads. i looked at trick flow's site, didnt have any, and canfield, they didnt either. i've heard nice stuff about canfield, and even on AFR's site, the (SBC heads) canfields flow nearly as good, or better(at some lift points) as the AFR heads do.. first, short of calling the company(they dont have email cusomter service that i saw), anyone know where i can get flow numbers for canfield heads(other than what AFR has)?second, the only prices i've seen for them are in excessive motorsports ad(they have a big one or two pager in Chevy High Perf. every month), and they are similar to AFR, price wise. Any one know how much they run? (again, SBC, <200cc size). thanks for ur input

This is from a April '97 test that CHP did of the 200cc canfields. These heads make about 480hp in the test with a comp hydroller and vic jr.

I have used these and AFR 195s in similar builds and they produced near identical power to the AFR heads that cost much more.

i must be blind yea, they are much cheaper... the post '87 AFR heads are in the neighborhood of 1500, yikes. i saw that they(AFR) offer to CNC port their heads.. i wonder how much that is. Anyhow, i was just curious about the canfields.. if i can ever sell my flippin 74 im gonna swipe up a 90-92 Z28, and heads are the first thing im getting, no messin around hehe, we'll see, but saving a few hundred bucks and producing a few less hp may be a good idea.
