A Big Thanks To All That helped me- An Update on Smog removal
Thanks to all you guys that helped me with advice on removing the stripped out bolt on my smog pump.
(What a bitch)! I chiseled, and used the dremel, and lubed, and chiseled some more! Finally I cut a slot in it and turned it out with a flathead screwdriver. I damaged the bracket a little bit, but I don't plan on putting the smog pump back on. Even if I do put the pump back on, it will still work. I didn't damage it that bad. I removed all the smog mess, and installed brass plugs into the exhaust manifolds. While doing this, I found the passenger side manifold had two loose bolts so I re-torqued them. It looks so much less cluttered under the hood now. All I have left to do is put my new belt on tomorrow and fire her up. Hopefully I will have no problems. Thanks again for all the advice!
