Valvesprings from Vortec Heads

Question for the engine gurus:

As typical for a hard run car with my milage (about 125K i forget exactly) i think my valesprings are shot based on some "whats wrong with my car" posts i've made. My question is, will the valvesprings off of a set off Vortech 350 heads fit my 305? I can get the full set for 20 bucks off a freind of mine who wanted to run a bigger cam than those springs would allow and had the heads machined. I don't plan on doing that, i just wanna replace my worn out stock ones. Will these fit? Car in sig:

88 Camaro (The mighty LO3 SC!)
305 TBI/700R4/2.73/125,XXX miles
10" Open Element and Flowmaster 80 seires
Bosch Platinum plugs
Double silicone Accel wires

Next up: headers and gears

They will fit.

They are garbage. They are replacement truck service parts, not performance parts. I would not recommend wasting the time, effort, and gasket money taking one set of stock springs off and putting another set on, unless you are really desperate.

even if they're new springs 20 dollars isn't that good a deal, you can buy a set of comp or lunati springs for around 50 dollars.

Ya, they probably aren't the best in the world, but i really don't plan on ever adding much to this engine other than headers and it'll never see the high side of 4500 RPMs. But i guess if i'm gonna do it, might as well do it right.

(bringing the thread back since it might get done soon)

"wasting the time, effort, and gasket money taking one set of stock springs off and putting another set on"

Well, true. Thats a very good point. But, the way I see it, I'm replacing a stock set of valvesprings with 130,000 miles on them with a set of stock springs with 0 miles on them. And the engine won't be torn apart just to do this, I'm having the valve guides/seals replaced because well, they're leaking and I'm burning a quart of oil every month. So since the valve covers will be off anyway, might as well change the springs while we're in there.

They're sitting in a box on a shelf right now, I ended up trading a subwoofer box that I basically got for free but won't fit in my car for them. So, they cost practically nothing. Might as well use the, it couldn't hurt.
