Newb posts again
I just got an 89 transam (5.7) litre for FREE. I got it run and did a tune up on it, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, oil, tranny fluid, pcv valves, and cleaned the K&N filter on it. I was wondering what else you guys would reccomend. I was thinkking that i would do the timing on it (what are the specs)? I also want to check the tps (How)? Please shed some light on this subject, because i am not used to fuel injected cars i usually play with carburated cars so any help would be appreciated, i want to get this car running good in stock form so that the BUILD UP CAN BEGIN!!!

Any side will do,the line with the valve is connected to to manifold vacuum and the other side goes to the air cleaner (in my case to the spacer ring between the tb and the aircleaner).
I simply gutted one of the PCV valves and used it to connect the breather hose to the valve cover, guess that works until the motor develops more blowby.

Never fiddled with a tpi motor, but the hose without a valve should be taking in air through the air filter,or vent gases that way when vacuum is low and crankcase pressure is high.
That hose should be plugged in somewhere between the air filter and the throttle blades if the principle is the same as on my tbi motor.
