timing mark rattles a bit, normal?
with a lot of ur help,
I fixed my backfiring problem by loosing up the rocker arm a bit.
while at it I put a new 180 thermostat.
now my temp in the cluster never reads over like 180.
and when i drive for a while, my idle starts to get sluggish(doesnt stall).
I thought my timing was off or something so I tried adjusting my timing,
and noticed that when Im aiming the damper with my timing light
the notch kind of rattles a bit.
is this normal?
my timing light is a craftman piece that I bought for 60bux
and inductive type or something.
not too much of a fancy one, lemmi know guys thanks!!

You mean the timing jumps around a degree or so? That's normal with a motor that's got some miles on it- the timing chain gets loose and can let things float around a little.
