I was just wondering what the general population of third gen owners use as far as Oil (brand/weight) etc. I have been considering running synthetic and have heard from some people that it is bad to run synthetic all of a sudden on a car that has had dino oil in it forever. Also what weight oil should i run in the winter (MO.)

 

I run Red-Line 10w40 summer, 10w30 winter...

 

i run Rotella 15w-40.. i need it for the solid flat tappet cam .. went through too many cams from oil problems.. and hawaii doesnt have winters.. the lowest i have ever seen where i live was around high 40's low 50's.. but thats during the night.. then during the day it blazes back up to 80's and 90's.. i live on the mountain.. at about 1500ft alt.. it gets to the 30's further up.. but thats on a really really cold night..
