The right stuff...

SheldonZ28 inspired me to throw some idea's around.

Scoggin Dickey Vortec Heads - I want them to handle .600 lift
Edelbrock RPM Air Gap Vortec Intake
Comp XE274 - 230/236 @ .050 .487/.490 110 LSA
Forged Crank and Rods
Hyper Flat top pistons
Holley 650 DP (Was told to upgrade to 750)
Built 700R4
3500 Stall
3.73 Gears

That should net me what in the 1/4? I wish they had SPDC pdf's for Desktop Dyno. The motor will most likely get a 100 shot as well. Any other part suggestions? Currently the car has 462 heads (ported/2.02-1.60), Torker 2 intake and Torker Plus cam. I'm open for opinions right now, just getting a feel for a possible new build up. Thanks!

With traction, not knowing what gears or stall you're running now, it should be a good second faster than the current combo.

torker cam and torker 2 intake? Yea, a second faster is right..

That combo is VERY common. Vortecs, RPM intake, and XE274. It's a super common setup. mid 12's is what i've heard, roughly 400HP at the crank sorta ballpark.

I wouldn't bother with a forged crank, all rods are forged, and hyper pistons sound good.
Cast steel crank and medium duty I beam rods, with hyper flat tops, and widen the top ring gap. Boom, you're done.
Spray it like a hot girl washing my Trans-am. hahha, aww...

Haha! I already have the forged stuff so I just thought I'd throw that in there. Mid 12's is exactly the "ball park" I was shooting for. Mid to low 12's N/A and throw some juice at it to run somewhere in the 11's. So is a dual plane better than a single?

Im currently using the TPI system.

Im going to go with vortec heads, so i cant use the LT1 intake i wanted too, id need to get an LT4, so id have larger ports.

I know i would have a faster 1/8 due to extra TQ from the TPI, but my 1/4 would be slower. Carb would be slower 1/8 faster 1/4.

Time will tell......so will money

carb will be faster to the 1/8 and the 1/4 compared to TPI, heck it'll be faster to the 60' mark as well
