Are you just looking to have an electric pusher, or replace the mechanical?

Most people mount the in-line electric back where the line goes over and in front of the axle.

well im pulling the 305 with the mechnicle put and installing the l98 which has no fuel pump lobe on the roller cam so that means there will be no fuel pump on the z28 to fuel the 350 the iroc has ai ntake pump and i put the mallory 4309 regulaor on it to keep it at 6psi i would like to use a holley red pump to fuel the 350

That's it, then. Put it back by the axle.

Re: installing a electric inline pump

is there only one fuel line running to a 84 lg4 fuel tank how will i have to modify the lines so that the pump gets fuel from the tank?

I'm doing the same thing with my 84 T/A...though my block has the mount for the mechanical pump, it's not drilled for the pump shaft so I have to install an electric pump. Do you have the summit part number of the one you just ordered? Or the Holley Performance pump you just mentioned? The Aeromotive ones are damn expensive.
