what is it/where does it go?

Had a couple of questions about what leads where with some stuff on my car that was never hooked up when i bought it, here goes, anyone who can help...thanks in advance...

ill start off with an easy one, where do these two outlets/inlets lead to on my plenum?

this ones in the front of the motor, not sure where its supposed to lead to...

I know what this is...but where is the circled outlet supposed to lead to?

I'm thinkin this one something for the emissions system, what is this part and what is it supposed to hook up to?..

lastly, im pretty sure this is something for the a/c or emissions, again, what is this part and what does it get hooked up to?..

Re: what is it/where does it go?

i can tell you what some of that stuff is but your best bet is too look at another car with a similar engine set up

the second to last picture is your egr valve solenoid it connects to your egr valve

your 1st picture is your intake plenum and the last stem on the end used a short hose to connect to your fuel pressuree regulator which is in your third picture.

the second picture of the black pipe goes from your passenger side valve cover to the big air pipe on the side of your throttle body.

the last picture i cant remember exactly what it connects.

hope this helps and i sure hope your have those hoses somewhere or your going to have fun putting it all together with over teh counter stuff
----------
from the looks of it that engine it goign to need more help than jsut hoses, good luck with that

The last picture is your heater valve. There should be a hard vacuum line that comes from a harness near the firewall. Plug that line into the valve.

Re: what is it/where does it go?

On the first picture, the inlet all the way in the back goes to the coil, and the next one goes to the FPR, so that eliminates the third picture as well. As for the second picture, thats the hose coming from the valve cover, correct? That one goes to the TB. Can't remember that exact port, so just match them to the size of the hose. In the fourth picture, I know one goes to the egr valve, and the other one comes up to the TB and then runs down to the canister. And the last one, I can't remember what it's hooked up to. When I get mine back together I can let you know, but I'm sure someone else will know sooner than that.

Re: what is it/where does it go?

thanks for the quick help guys, the motor ran strong when i bought the car, and if you look at my other post in tech/general engine, it developed some problems and just stopped running, so im trying to hook everything up correctly and hopefully get her started.

Re: what is it/where does it go?

im surprised it ran at all without idling extremly high

you might wnat to do a compression test on all teh cylnders before continueing with this car.

with all those air hoses missing the car may have sucked up alot of dirt n dust which by now strached up you cylnder walls or something else.

just a word of caution i could be totally wrong

Coil?

There are no ignition connections on the plenum.
These are vacuum not electrical sources.

Sorry, I was trying to think of how all of my vacuum is setup. I couldn't just go out and look at it because it's all taken apart and whatnot. I just remember there was a vacuum coming from somewhere around the coil area that went to that port in the plenum.

1 - HVAC and vacuum reservoir; either of 2 left side rear ports
2 - Fuel Regulator; either of 2 right side rear ports
3 - Brake Booster; left corner

The larger of the two ports should run to a 2-way check valve, from the valve, one line goes to the A/C vacuum line that's coming out of a wire loom through the firewall. The other goes to the power orb (under the drivers headlight) and the Cruise control servo.

The smaller of these ports goes to the fuel pressure regulator.

No Idea what that pipe is, so can't tell ya. Where does it come from?

This is the fuel pressure regulator. we've covered that.

EGR Solenoid, this mounts almost underneath your distributor so that there's two open ports facing up. One goes to your EGR Valve (under the plenum), the other goes to a tiny vacuum port on the underside of your throttle body via a Tee, then needs to continue to the valve for the charcoal canister.

Heater valve, gets connected to the other vacuum line coming out of the wire loom that's coming through the firewall.

I hope this has helped.
