oil change

people are probly going to see this thread and start to freak thinking i dont know how to change my oil... but thats not it.
yesterday i was helping my buddy change the oil in his 86 Camaro. I was under getting off the oil filter, and as i pulled it off i dropped it and i no only hear the sound of the oil filter i hear a seperate cluck next to my head. So i get up from under the car and what do i see... A SPARK PLUG COVERED IN OIL!!! i couldnt belive it.... it is probly THE most random thing i have ever had happen to me when changing oil...
i thought i'd share that with you guys.... i'm sorry if this is in the wrong place... i wasnt sure exactly where to put it... feel free to move it if needed

Re: oil change

oh wow you see new things everday lol how in the world did it run is what im wondering, that should have thrown a red flag because that would (in theory) raise the oil pressure through the roof with something that big in the system go fbodies lol

Re: oil change

OIl pressure wouldn't have changed. There is a filter bypass built in just in case the filter gets clogged so that there will still be oil flow.

Re: oil change

Have you never heard of the "spark plug in the oil filter" mod?

Kidding. That's funny.

Re: oil change

My first thought was that it (the plug) was left in the engine bay maybe wedged near the filter and just dropped out .....only if it landed into your oil catch basin.....but if covered in oil and hit the dry ground?????? kind of a funny place .....
